Want to know more about the vivacious, energetic and beautiful women who buy our clothes? That’s why we started our FFL Ambassador campaign; to introduce you to our loyal customers, tell you what they do for fun and let you know their thoughts on exercise. Today we meet Donna Stove.
Where do you live?
I live in Macgregor in the ACT, Australia.
Tell us more about what you do.
My partner and I have owned a small business since 2011. I work from home during the day and I'm very blessed to have been able to be home for my kids. During their infant years, I was also a stay-at-home mum.
Tell us more about your family.
I have a 14-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son.
What do you do for fun besides exercise?
Besides exercise, I love reading (actual books!), crocheting and crosswords. I also love to draw mandalas for fun.
What is your attitude towards fitness? Have you always enjoyed it?
I definitely HAVE NOT always enjoyed exercise! When I was younger I played netball, which didn't seem like a chore as I really enjoyed it. This is why I was really happy to discover contemporary dance and to re-discover Physical Culture. They are both an excellent workout and both are challenging, but I have so much fun doing them that they don't feel like they're a trial.
What does a typical week of exercise look like for you?
During school term time, a typical week of exercise would include one evening of Physical Culture and one evening of contemporary dance for an hour. The rest of the week is usually made up of walking my dog around a creek that’s near to where we live – at it’s longest it’s just under 6km. I also usually ride my bike a couple of times per week around the creek or along other waterways nearby.
How did you find FFL and what keeps you coming back?
I found FFL when I was on Weight Watchers. Mel was advertising on their website, I had a look and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since!
