Weight lifting in Female For Life gym gear

Female for Life Ambassador: Meet Erin

It’s all very well seeing beautiful clothes on models strutting their stuff, but what matters to us is knowing that the people who buy our Female for Life activewear products are gorgeous real women that we can identify with. With that in mind, we asked some of our loyal customers to tell us more about themselves and their lives, so you can get to know them a little. Today we meet Erin Robertson.

Where do you live?

I live in Port Lincoln, SA Australia.

Tell us more about what you do.

I work fulltime as the Quality Assurance Manager at a food manufacturing facility.

Tell us more about your family.

I am a Canadian living in Australia. I first came to the country in October 2000 and have since become a permanent resident. I’m single with no children.

What do you do for fun besides exercise?

I enjoy wildlife/scenic photography, fishing, hiking and scuba diving.

What is your attitude regarding fitness?

I’m actually relatively new to living a healthy, active lifestyle. Growing up and through my thirties I let my health slide: I weighed 115kg at 168cm tall. I was very inactive and was eating way too much. In January 2014, at the age of 38, I made a resolution to get fit. By December 2014 I had lost 40kg as a result of daily walking, eventually learning to run, as well as eating healthily. I eventually took up a gym membership and started lifting weights as well. Over time, I’ve become extremely passionate about bodybuilding and clean eating.

What does a typical week of exercise look like for you?

I currently weight train for around two hours a day, five days a week. I also walk/run/cycle in the mornings or on the weekend and do this several times per week, because I really enjoy cardio and being outdoors.

How did you find FFL and what keeps you coming back?

I found FFL when I was a size 20 and looking for some quality plus size workout clothing. I bought Disco Diva ¾ tights in two different colours, size Voluptuous, and they fit amazingly well. As I’ve lost weight, I’ve continued to buy FFL products because they’re flattering in shape and I love the unique patterns that are colourful yet classy. They’re extremely durable and are able to withstand continuous use and frequent washing.

Do you have any favourite FFL styles?

Disco Diva is still one of my all-time favourites, along with the Brazil Fitness ¾ Bottoms, ¾ Gym Pants and the Triple Sports Pants ¾ Bottoms. Personally, I love the ¾ length style, although I do have a pair of the Legging Loves for when it’s colder outside.

Erin is a complete inspiration and proves - its always a good time to get fit!
