Quality, Feminine and Affordable Sportswear
Who started Female For Life and Why?
I (that's me in the photo) started Female For Life in 2009 because, just like you I wasn't finding any activewear in the shops that fitted nicely, stayed up when I exercised and made me feel and look good.
It all began after I had been working crazy hours in the office and my body finally decided it needed time out and chronic neck pain made going to gym or doing any exercise a thing of the past. So the weight packed on and my confidence plummeted and when I finally began to heal I found myself confronted with needing to buy activewear that could fit the curvier me. The skinny girls in the photos haunted me as the penny dropped and I realised that at a size 14-16 I wasn't catered for. Nothing fitted. I was heartbroken.
But I have a fair bit of fight in me so I decided if nobody else out there was going to cater for me, well ... I WAS GOING TO CATER FOR ME !!!
3 years later Female For Life is still going. I have learnt so much about myself, my body and about being confident in my own skin and my hope and dream is to give this to as many other women as possible by providing a healthy and supportive environment.
We cater for your body, not your size with styles that are sexy and sassy and come all the way from Brazil where the curve is embraced and revered. The quality of our gear is kickass (check out our Facebook fanpage to see the reviews from real people) and we go the extra mile with service.
Our product are cut and hand stitched by a group of 5 dedicated men and women in a family business on the outskirts of Rio. The attention to detail is evident in each and every item.
So if you want sportswear that makes you feel GOOD when you workout and that will LAST, you are in the right place.
Welcome to team FFL, I am so very honoured to have you :)
The Female For Life community values
Female For Life is a 100% Australian owned, operated and based sportswear company (although the active wear is manufactured just outside of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil). As well as caring about health, we care about the community too.
Our factory is family owned factory and made with soul and integrity with each label hand stitched onto the gear. Staff are given all public and religious holidays off and they show their thanks by the passion that is reflected in the quality of our gear.
" I have just worn my new workout pants and it seems that my bum and tum are M.I.A - it's fine, happy to be without them. Not sure what the pants are made of but they are great, certainly flattering and lift everything in all the right ways. I am looking forward to the next workout now, no item of clothing has ever done that :)" ~ Tracy, NSW
